About
The ACE Women’s Network Mentorship Program is designed to support, develop, and advance women and underrepresented genders in higher education through meaningful mentorship. This six-month, one-on-one program pairs mentees with experienced leaders to foster career growth, leadership development, and professional success. Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to participate in the mentorship program?
Anyone can apply to be a mentee, regardless of their position in higher education. To be a mentor, individuals should hold a role at or above the director or associate dean level in academic or student affairs.
How long does the mentorship program last?
The mentorship program runs for six months, from January to June 2025. Mentors and mentees will meet once per month for at least one hour, either via Zoom or in person.
How are mentors and mentees matched?
Mentees will be paired with mentors who have relevant experience to support their growth.
What kind of support and resources will be provided?
Participants will receive an initial orientation to set expectations, and the Strategic Initiatives Committee will help organize training sessions for mentors.
Is there a cost to participate in the program?
No, there is no fee for institutional members to participate in the mentorship program. Annual conference payment is not required to join as a mentor or mentee.
What is expected of mentors and mentees?
Mentors are expected to provide guidance, share career insights, and support their mentees’ professional growth, meeting once a month for an hour. Mentees should come prepared with questions, goals, and a willingness to actively engage in the mentorship process.
